Job Summary and Qualifications As a Patient Flow Coordinator,you’llplay a critical role in ensuring patients receivetimely, efficient, and compassionate care from the moment they arrive in the Emergency Department.You’lloversee patient movement, balance department resources, and work closely with clinical and operational teams tomaintaina steady flow that supports both quality care and staff efficiency. Through collaboration, communication, and quick decision-making,you’llhelp minimize wait times, improve patient experiences,andenhanceoverall department performance. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with Emergency Department staff to ensureappropriate patientplacement and efficient movement throughout all stages of careCoordinating EMS transports and triage operations to supporttimelyroom assignments, hand-offs, and safe transitions of carePartnering with the Nursing Supervisor tofacilitatepatient transfers and admissions from the Emergency DepartmentMonitoring staffing levels and patient volumes to recommendoptimalscheduling thatmaintainssafe and effective workflowAnalyzing wait times, test turnaround, and other throughput indicators toidentifyprocess improvements and promote operational efficiencyActing as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, and hospital departments to foster communication, teamwork, and exceptional patient experiences What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(RN) Registered NurseBachelors DegreeNo Travel Required3 years experience Required Benefits Menorah Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
