Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Midland, Texas. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a knack for accuracy, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Process vendor invoices with accuracy and ensure timely entry into the accounting system. u2022 Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently. u2022 Communicate with vendors to address invoice inquiries and payment updates. u2022 Maintain accurate records and assist in general accounts payable operations. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all AP activities. u2022 Support check runs and verify proper coding of invoices. u2022 Assist with invoice processing and follow up on outstanding payments. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address financial documentation requirements. u2022 Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient AP filing system. Requirements u2022 Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting support role. u2022 Strong skills in data entry and financial reconciliation. u2022 Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Proficiency in basic computer applications and spreadsheet software. u2022 Experience with QuickBooks is a plus but not mandatory. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. u2022 Familiarity with coding invoices and processing payments. u2022 Comfortable working in an onsite, Monday through Friday schedule.
