A loving family of three living on the Upper West Side is seeking a temporary nanny to care for their 5-month-old daughter. The role will start May 25th and will last 9 weeks. The position will be Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 6:30pm.Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for an infantAct as a trusted partner to the parents on routines, development, and daily observationsSupport age-appropriate developmental activities, including reading and sensory playEngage the baby through singing, talking, and interactive playFacilitate social interaction and learning through outings, classes, and play dates as the infant grows olderHandle baby-related laundry and maintain organization of nursery and supplies.Assist with light household support related to the child, including tidying shared spaces.Helping around the house during naps, such as emptying the dishwasher, keeping the kitchen tidy, and taking out trash if needed, would be very appreciatedSignificant experience caring for infants, particularly within the first year of life.Strong understanding of infant development, sleep routines, and schedulesCalm, grounded demeanor with a warm, engaging presence with children.The ability to work well with parentsSignificant experience caring for infants, particularly within the first year of lifeLegally authorized to work in the United StatesAble to provide strong references and pass a background checkAble to commit to a temporary role starting May 25th for 9 weeks$35 - $40 per hour based on experience.
