Details discussed during the interview process.We are seeking anOperating RoomRNalso known as an Main Surgery RN or Ambulatory Surgical Nurse, provides comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. Operating Room Nurseworkwithin the operating room setting, collaborating with surgeons and other surgical team members to ensure patient safety and well-being. OR RNs prepare patients for surgery, which includes reviewing medical history, conducting assessments, educating patients and families about the procedure, and administering pre-operative medications. Shift’s Available: DaysEmployment Type:Full TimeHours: 9 Hour Shift - Tuesday through FridayLocation: South Kansas City Surgicenter - Overland Park, KSHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sicktimeand holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Prepare the operating room,ensure the cleanliness of the environment, and confirm that all required equipment is functioning properlyAssistin preparing the patient for surgery, which may involve verifying the patient's identity and surgical site, helping to position the patient on the operating table, and ensuring that all necessary pre-operative procedures are completedDocument pertinent information before, during, and after the surgical procedure, such as the patient's vital signs, medications administered, and any other relevant details for the patient's medical recordMaintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper procedures for handling instruments and equipmentMaintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper procedures for handling instruments and equipmentEducation and Work ExperienceCurrent and valid state RN License.Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.#LI-DV1Full TimeDaysCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
