We create value for our tenants and partners by developing sustainable residential and commercial properties in which people live, work, and thrive.Overview:The Durst Organization is seeking (2) Security Officer II - Security Command Center positions for the following schedules:Shift 1: Monday ⓠFriday from 7:00am-3:00pm. Days off: Saturday ,SundayShift 2: Sunday ⓠThursday from 3:00pm-11:00pm. Days off: Friday and SaturdayPay Rate: is $23.53 per hour. Additionally, this position would be eligible for overtime for all hours actually worked, consistent with the Local 32BJ Collective Bargaining Agreement. The overtime rate is $35.30 an hour. Please note that wages are subject to tax withholdings and other applicable deductions.Responsibilities:The Security Officer II will provide security and a safe working environment for all visitors to the building. Additionally, the candidate should be knowledgeable and possess the following skills:1. Assist Security Management with all operational command and control functions of OWTC security personnel.2. Maintain situational awareness (SA) for emergency requests for assistance from Security, Tenant Security, Engineering, Porters or the PMO.3. Understanding of the Aware Visitor Management System.4. Understanding of the Lenel System.5. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, computer expertise and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.As Command Center Operator, you will interact with all systems in the Security Command Center to include, but not limited to: CCTV systems, access control, duress alarms and vital building equipment alarms. The Operators are responsible for monitoring emergency phone lines, access control systems and video systems.The Operators assist in monitoring threats to employees, tenants and visitors to OWTC. Security Command Center Assistants are on the forefront of the notification process for OWTC during incidents. The Operators also support operations and provide assistance to all Security personnel on each shift with security-related issues as needed.The Security Officer II will be required to execute a number of comprehensive and integrated security measures and countermeasures and must be able to adapt physically to the changing needs and priorities of the Security Organization. Security posts may vary and may include exposure to varying weather conditions.Candidate will also be responsible for additional assignments as directed by Security Management.
