Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and lead a team in Hauppauge, New York. This role requires strong expertise in managing month-end closings and supervising staff to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will bring over seven years of experience in financial management and demonstrate proficiency in document control and related processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage all aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. u2022 Implement and maintain systems to streamline financial reporting and operations. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards within all financial activities. u2022 Utilize Epicor software to optimize accounting processes and reporting. u2022 Develop and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations. u2022 Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to support strategic decision-making. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to support company-wide initiatives and financial goals. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead efforts to enhance efficiency. Requirements u2022 Minimum of seven years of experience in financial management or accounting roles. u2022 Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively. u2022 Strong expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting. u2022 Experience working with Epicor or similar financial software. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance. u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
