Job Title: Construction Laborer Location: NJ/NYC Projects Pay: $23-$30 an hour Shift: 7am-4pm Job Description The Construction Laborer performs heavy, laboru2011intensive concrete restoration work on commercial and infrastructure projects across New York and New Jersey. This role involves chipping, grinding, patching, and structural repair in highu2011dust, highu2011intensity environments while following strict safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment. Responsibilities + Perform concrete repair and restoration tasks including chipping, grinding, demolition, patching, concrete finishing, and structural repair on commercial and infrastructure projects. + Use hand tools and power tools such as chipping guns, grinders, and other concrete repair equipment safely and efficiently. + Work with concrete, masonry, rebar, formwork, and epoxy materials as part of structural and surface repair activities. + Follow detailed construction safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including fallu2011protection systems and respirators. + Work at heights on temporary flooring, scaffolding, and elevated platforms while maintaining strict adherence to fallu2011protection procedures. + Operate in highu2011dust, noisy, and physically demanding environments for extended periods, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and working in confined or awkward spaces. + Travel regularly between various job sites in New York and New Jersey as assigned. + Participate in and successfully complete extensive safety training prior to starting field work and adhere to all safety guidelines on site. + Collaborate with primarily Spanishu2011speaking field crews, contributing to a cohesive and productive team environment. + Follow project directions, submittals, and construction documentation as required, and use construction technology platforms such as Procore when needed. + Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Essential Skills + Heavy concrete labor experience including chipping, demolition, patching, and structural repair. + Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift, bend, kneel, and work long hours in demanding environments. + Ability to read and speak English to understand safety procedures and work instructions. + Experience using chipping guns, grinders, and other concrete repair tools. + Comfort working at heights with fallu2011protection systems on scaffolding, temporary flooring, and elevated platforms. + Ability to wear a halfu2011face respirator (3M 3000 series) and meet fitu2011test requirements, including being cleanu2011shaven where the mask seals. + Familiarity with construction safety protocols and proper use of PPE. + Willingness and ability to travel between job sites in New York and New Jersey. + Reliable transportation to reach various job sites. + Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a field crew.
