Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS) and applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position:Required Experience: Nine years of experience in multi-trade building construction, which must have included at least two years of managing multiple building construction projects. Experience managing multi-trade building construction projects shall include responsibility for three or more of the following areas: u2022 construction planningu2022 coordination of multiple trades u2022 cost estimating u2022 project schedulingu2022 material purchasingu2022 resource management (including labor, material, and equipment scheduling) u2022 contract document reading and interpretation (plans and specifications) Two years must include supervision of subordinate staff.Substitution:u2022 An associate's degree may substitute for two years of experience.u2022 A bacheloru2019s degree may substitute for four years of experience.u2022 A masteru2019s degree may substitute for five years of experience.u2022 A doctorate may substitute for six years of experience.OR52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion: If there are no more than three qualified candidates in the promotion field for this position, the agency will request approval from the Department of Civil Service to fill this position via a non-competitive promotion (NCP) examination, pursuant to Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law.
