Job Title: Production Worker Job Description This role supports day-shift production operations in a plastic manufacturing environment by assisting with loading, unloading, preparing, and packaging parts and products. You will help ensure products meet quality standards, are cut to correct measurements, and are prepared for shipment while supporting overall production goals on a rotating 4x4 schedule. Responsibilities + Load and unload parts or products onto pallets in a safe and efficient manner. + Prepare parts and products for cutting according to specified measurements. + Assist with operating production and packaging equipment as needed to support the production line. + Prepare parts and products to be shipped for powder coating, following established procedures. + Perform basic inspection of parts and products to ensure quality standards are met. + Follow established quality processes and standards throughout the facility. + Support production deadlines and goals by maintaining steady workflow and productivity. + Package and label products accurately for storage or shipment. + Report any issues, defects, or problems with production, equipment, or materials to the immediate supervisor. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with facility guidelines. + Work collaboratively with other production and general labor team members to meet daily targets. Essential Skills + Previous manufacturing experience. + Experience in production or general production environments. + Ability to perform general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, and packing. + Experience working on a production line or in a packaging role. + Basic mechanical aptitude to work around machinery and production equipment. + Ability to perform visual inspection to identify obvious quality issues. + Capability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. + Reliability to work a 5-day, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. day shift on a rotating 4x4 schedule. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in manufacturing, production, or machine operating environments. + Comfort working with plastic manufacturing processes. + Experience with loading and palletizing products for shipment. + Familiarity with basic quality control practices in a production setting. + Ability to work effectively as part of a team across different business units or buildings. The role is a day-shift position, typically working from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on a 5-day, rotating 4x4 schedule. You will work around production lines, packaging areas, and general manufacturing equipment, handling parts and products that are loaded onto pallets and prepared for powder coating and shipment. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to quality processes, and teamwork, with tasks that are steady but not particularly fast paced and that do not require heavy lifting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
