Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking to hire a School Counselor for the 2026-2027 school year Location: Roxboro, NC Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Full-Time About the Role: The School Counselor plays a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students. This position is responsible for providing direct counseling services, crisis intervention, and mental health support to students experiencing emotional or psychological challenges. The counselor collaborates with educators, families, and community partners to create a safe and supportive school environment that promotes student success. Key Responsibilities: + Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges. + Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to studentsu2019 needs. + Respond to mental health crises and provide immediate support and referrals as needed. + Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support studentsu2019 academic and emotional development. + Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. + Serve as a liaison between the school and community mental health agencies.
