Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable functions and a commitment to accuracy. Responsibilities: u2022 Process invoices with precision, ensuring all entries are correctly coded and aligned with company policies. u2022 Perform regular check runs to manage timely payments to vendors and suppliers. u2022 Review and verify invoice details for accuracy, addressing discrepancies as needed. u2022 Maintain organized records of all transactions for easy retrieval and auditing purposes. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment issues and ensure smooth workflows. u2022 Assist in improving accounts payable processes by identifying opportunities for automation or efficiency. u2022 Prepare reports on payable activities, providing insights to management when required. u2022 Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company standards in all payable activities. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. u2022 Proficiency in processing invoices, including coding and verification. u2022 Familiarity with performing check runs and handling payment cycles. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with team members and vendors. u2022 Experience with accounting software and tools relevant to accounts payable. u2022 Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in invoice processing.
