Description We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to join our team in DeQuincy, Louisiana. In this role, you will act as a key financial resource to the plant's management team, providing insights on inventory variances, product costing, and margin improvement strategies. This position requires hands-on involvement with inventory management, fixed assets, and financial reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the maintenance of standard cost inventory valuation and product costing within the accounting system. u2022 Manage and evaluate landed costs, variance analyses, and purchase price discrepancies in collaboration with the Supply Chain team. u2022 Lead continuous improvements in inventory transaction processes alongside the Sales and Operations teams. u2022 Execute month-end close tasks, including inventory reporting, reconciliation, journal entry accruals, and fixed asset depreciation. u2022 Provide detailed analysis of manufacturing operations, equipment utilization, and profitability of key customer accounts. u2022 Assist in preparing plant cost center reports and perform financial comparisons of budget versus actual results. u2022 Support cycle count and year-end inventory count objectives, ensuring accurate performance analysis and reporting. u2022 Enforce company policies regarding the capitalization of fixed assets to ensure compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Collaborate on special projects and provide support during internal and external audits. u2022 Generate payroll-related reports to assist the Human Resources department.
