Apply Today Job Summary and Qualifications Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Office, the Controller directs the financial activities coincidental with defined hospital policies and objectives. Directs the preparation of hospital statistical reports, budgets, and other financial reports. Is responsible for overseeing and reviewing Third-party risk contracts. Facilitates management of accounting department. Oversees preparation of capital and operating budgets, ensures internal reporting of departments and external regulatory reporting is completed as needed. Maintains reporting information systems to provide Administrator and Directors information to direct business activities. Assist the CFO in the development of long and short range plans and objectives. Assumes a lead role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing hospital operating costs and increasing revenues based on knowledge of market trends, financial reports and operating procedures. Oversees that all financial data and associated reports required by government and other regulating agencies are provided in a timely manner. Consults and negotiates with third-party payor and managed care contracts concerning hospital rates. Becomes knowledgeable and remains current on Medicare regulations and cost report maximization techniques.
