Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. In this role, you will oversee critical financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a key role in shaping the organizationu2019s financial strategies while managing and developing the accounting team. Responsibilities: u2022 Supervise accounting operations, including general ledger management, monthly close processes, and financial reporting. u2022 Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies. u2022 Prepare and manage financial statements, audits, and regulatory filings. u2022 Develop and implement robust internal controls, policies, and procedures. u2022 Collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights on financial planning and analysis. u2022 Manage cash flow, liquidity, and balance sheet activities to optimize financial performance. u2022 Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and development with attention to detail. u2022 Utilize financial systems and tools, including QuickBooks Online, to streamline processes and reporting. u2022 Maintain strong relationships with auditors, regulators, and other financial stakeholders. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. u2022 Proven background in the banking or financial services industry. u2022 In-depth knowledge of regulatory reporting and compliance requirements. u2022 Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Excel. u2022 Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Exceptional communication and leadership abilities. u2022 Experience with QuickBooks Online is highly desirable.
