We are currently seeking a Test Automation Engineer / SDET - HYBRID to join our team in Tampa, Florida (US-FL), United States (US). We are looking for a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer / SDET with 5+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering, test automation, CI/CD practices, and a proactive mindset to drive quality across the SDLC. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to embed quality into the development lifecycle and support fast, reliable releases. Day to Day Responsibilities: Test Automation & Framework Development u2022 Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing u2022 Identify test scenarios suitable for automation and ensure high automation coverage u2022 Develop automated test scripts using Java/Python (or similar languages) Testing & Quality Engineering u2022 Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and system testing u2022 Execute automated and limited manual tests where required u2022 Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test strategy discussions u2022 Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices CI/CD & DevOps Integration u2022 Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) u2022 Enable shift-left testing and continuous quality checks u2022 Work with DevOps teams to support containerized and cloud-based test execution Collaboration & Agile Practices u2022 Work as part of Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives u2022 Collaborate with developers to debug issues and improve testability u2022 Provide clear test metrics, reports, and quality insights to stakeholders Continuous Improvement u2022 Evaluate and recommend improvements to test tools, frameworks, and processes u2022 Stay updated with latest trends in test automation and quality engineering u2022 Mentor junior QA/Automation engineers when needed ________________________________________ Basic Qualifications: + 5+ years of experience in test automation / SDET roles + 5+ years of Strong programming skills in Java or Python + 5+ years of Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress + 5+ years of API automation experience using REST, or similar tools Assured, Postman + 5+ years of Experience testing microservices and distributed systems + 5+ years of Experience with Docker and containers (Kubernetes is a plus) Preferred Skills: + Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest) + Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines + Familiarity with Git and version control workflows + Working knowledge of SQL and database testing + Understanding of performance and security testing basics (JMeter, OWASP concepts) + Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP #LI-NorthAmerica About NTT DATA NTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
