The Advanced Repair and Reconstruction (AR&R) Platform within the BD Surgery division focuses on soft tissue regeneration, with a full portfolio of best-in-class surgical solutions. AR&R is recognized as the global industry leader in hernia care and the aspirational leader in PRS since the July 2021 acquisition of Tepha, Inc and the proprietary P4HB polymer for soft tissue support and regeneration. PRS Area Specialists The PRS Area Specialists is a strategic sales support & customer experience role dedicated to supporting the growth and success of BDu2019s Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) business. This role combines inside sales, external territory management support, and premium account service to deliver a white-glove experience for customers using BDu2019s P4HB brands in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. As part of the Sales organization, the Area Specialists serves as a trusted partner to healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless engagement across BDu2019s systems and teams to meet customer needs and drive business outcomes. This role reports into a PRS Area Business Manager and is partnered regionally with that Area Business Manager (ABM) and a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to appropriately support and grow the US business within the assigned region which includes all of New England. Key Responsibilities: White-Glove Customer Experience + Support PRS customers in the assigned region by delivering high-touch service both remotely and withproactive onsite engagement, in close partnership and under the direction of the regional ABM. + Navigate BDu2019s internal systems and teams to resolve customer inquiries related to ordering, pricing, billing, and product education. + Facilitate urgent order fulfillment, product returns, and account setup with speed and accuracy. + Provide guidance on product selection, sizing, and usage according to instructions for on-label use. + Escalate customer issues appropriately and advocate for resolution through internal channels. Customer Engagement + Lead the implementation of the new eCommerce platform within the assigned region, supporting customer onboarding and driving adoption of the online ordering system through education, outreach, and ongoing support. + Ensure timely distribution of product literature, collateral, and educational materials. + Support regional engagement at trade showsby attending and/or coordinating pre-event outreach, assisting with lead capture and follow-up, and collaborating with RBMs and Marketing to maximize customer interactions and post-event conversion. + Collaborate with Global and US Marketing teams to proactively communicate product updates, inventory changes, and opportunities for order efficiencies, enabling customers to plan and manage their purchasing effectively. Sales & Territory Management + Support and collaborate with ABMs to prioritize sales activities and customer engagement. + Support product demonstrations, in-servicing, and training for office staff. + Attend local/regional conferences and/or Surgical Education events where appropriate. + Qualify inbound and outbound leads to ensure high conversion potential. + Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline through targeted outreach and follow-up,document activities and advancements in . + Conduct live and virtual meetings, product presentations, and follow-ups to drive engagement. + Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on customer needs and behaviors. Performance Reporting: + Generate and analyze sales reports to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities. + Maintain accurate account records and utilize CRM tools to track performance and insights. + Support/participate in monthly regional cadencing and quarterly business reviews. + Ensure compliance with internal processes and documentation standards. Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree required; MBA or advanced degree desired + Minimum of2 years of sales or medical device experience + Experience in high-touch customer service or premium account management. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms. + Strong analytical skills and ability to present data-driven insights. + Exceptional organizational and creative skills + Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative, and demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across company functional areas + Self-starter and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment + Strong project management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously + Must meet credentialing and compliance requirements for hospital access. + Ability to travel a minimum of 30%, including overnight stays.
