Visit us online at: Description of Job While in this position, you are required to work at your assigned work location during your scheduled work times. Please note: Work arrangements are subject to change at any time. As a CNA (Client Care Aide II) you will provide basic hands-on patient/resident care in a safe, clean, infection controlled environment by bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, skin care, range of motion, positioning, ambulating, transferring, toileting programs, feeding programs, transporting, performing basic assessments (vital signs, blood pressures, weights, etc.), and charting/documenting all of the above. This is a fully operational position responsible for performing the full range of client care aide tasks and problem-solving. Job duties include, but are not limited to: + Provide direct resident care, including bathing, dressing, undressing, assisting in and out of bed, performing personal hygiene, feeding programs, toileting programs, range of motion, transporting, and interacting socially to meet residentsu2019 basic needs. + Explain patient care before, during, and after contacts + Answer call lights + Assess basic resident care needs and report to the charge nurse any change in the resident's condition + Perform basic resident observations, vital signs, blood pressure, weight, intake and output, and basic skin assessments. + Provide infection control, implement/using universal precautions, and dispose of waste. + Clean linen room and equipment, stock supplies, and complete supply forms + Correct use of safety/positioning devices, side rails, transfer belts, and proper use of all equipment + Attend ongoing staff education programs + Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights Minimum Qualifications: Education/Licensure/Certification/Experience: + High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) + One year of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position Substitutions: + Current, valid certification as a Nurse Aide (CNA) from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies will substitute for the high school diploma or GED + Current, valid licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies or any state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact will substitute for the experience requirement Special Qualifications: + Must hold and maintain an active CNA certification in good standing from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, as well as a current BLS Healthcare Provider Card.
