Ensures leastprivilege is followed and networks are secured from unauthorized devicesand excessive access, with any exceptions properly scoped and defined.Collaborates with internal and external partners to understand technicaland business requirements and to deliver solutions.Essential FunctionsSetup, maintenance, and ongoing configuration of firewalls (e.g., PaloAlto and Cisco).Manages vulnerability and lifecycle for patching and firmware upgradesof supported devicesAdheres to change control proceduresContributes to network security architecture and strategyPerforms device discovery, identification, and inventory withConfiguration Management Database (CMDB)Enforcement of least privilege network accessParticipation in network isolation and segmentation projectsProvides troubleshooting and user support with traffic analysis andother effortsManagement and support of incidents and outages.Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentOne (1) year of experience in the Cyber Security Field and demonstratedexperience with debug and with firewall configurationKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSelf-driven and highly motivated team player that can perform in afast-changing business environment.Diverse knowledge and experience in networks, firewalls, operatingsystems, applications, and databases.Strong communication skills, able to communicate with technical andnon-technical users.Ability to use common tools including, but not limited to, wireshark,nmap, traceroute, splunk, etc.Strong understanding of computer networking concepts and protocolsUnderstanding of informational and operational technology (IT/OT) andzero trust conceptsPreferred EducationPostsecondary degree in related fieldPreferred Certifications/TrainingPalo Alto Network Security ProfessionalPalo Alto Next-Generation Firewall EngineerCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Comptia Security+ / Network+Physical RequirementsAbility to interpret effectively, accurately and impartially, bothreceptively and expressively.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including butnot limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information
