JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Title: Meter Technician Job ID: 2026-R209Location: Milwaukee, WI Posting Type: Full time What You Will Do:Southern Cross has immediate openings for Entry-Level Field Technician(Gas Module Exchange) in Milwaukee, WI and surrounding areas. You willbe responsible for the replacement of gas modules to include drivingdaily as required by assigned geographic areas. You will also beexpected to process the required data accurately and meet all requiredcompletion dates. We will provide step-by-step training to ensure youare comfortable with the process and have a solid understanding of workexpectations. Competitive Compensation: $21.00 per hour with GUARANTEEDautomatic $.50 increases at both 60 days and 180 days. Responsibilitiesinclude: Manage daily assigned tasks for safety, quality, and efficiencyto exceed customer expectations. Schedule and plan work efficientlyFollow all safety rules, organizational policies, and procedures. KeepOperator Qualifications current. Interact with the public, client'scustomers, and client's personnel professionally, respectfully, andcordially. Accurately complete task reports and work-related reports ina timely manner Protect, inspect, and maintain assigned equipment andvehicle. Education and Experience: Technical aptitude and past/formertechnical training are a plus. Computer or Smart Phone literate Able toread maps and navigate congested areas in large cities. Adept at usinghand tools and equipment. Requirements: High school diploma or GED Musthave a good driving record and hold a valid driver's license.Physically able to bend, squat and move heavy objects, use a pipewrench/other hand tools, lift and reach overhead. Training Provided: Newhires will participate in paid Operator Qualification training/testingpertaining to meter work/meter reading.
