We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting & installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry.We are looking for Inspectors Construction Services (WVTRET) who will play a key role in all aspects of construction administration, inspection and testing services for state (WVDOH), county, and local Clients. You'll be involved in the testing and inspection aspects of wide range of projects, including those in the roadway/bridge (primarily), but may also include some aviation/airport, commercial, municipal utility/infrastructure sectors, and vertical (building) construction projects. Manager while managing a team of direct reports or projects.Projects are typically in the greater Charleston area/west-central WV region. Frequent travel within this region is expected.A stipend for personal vehicle use or a company take-home vehicle will be provided, based on the assignment.WVDOT/WVDOH large project experience is a strong plus.Transportation Engineering Technician (WVTRET) certification is a strong plus.Responsibilities:Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications.Read project drawings, specifications, blueprints, and work on a variety of construction projects.Perform construction administration and inspection services for state, county and local roadway and bridge projects and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.Monitor and enforce quality standards and spect construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans and/or proposals on roadway and bridge projects.Verify plan quantities and calculations are within bid plans.Prepare and maintain project records and reports in a timely manner.Notify the Contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming work.Conduct quality control testing at project sites, including concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and reinforcing steel.Performs other duties as assigned by the Project...
