Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this long-term contract position, you will play an essential role in managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments, and maintaining financial records. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the complete accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, and reconciliation. u2022 Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments through various methods such as ACH, wire transfers, and checks. u2022 Reconcile vendor accounts by verifying monthly statements and resolving discrepancies. u2022 Maintain accurate records of invoices, purchase orders, and payment transactions in the accounting system. u2022 Address and resolve inquiries or issues related to accounts payable. u2022 Assist with month-end closing tasks, including preparing reports and reconciling accounts payable balances. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and resolve payment-related concerns. u2022 Support audits, financial reporting, and additional accounting tasks as needed. u2022 Continuously identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable process. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. u2022 Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on financial data. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. u2022 Experience with payment processes such as ACH, wire transfers, and check runs. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel. u2022 Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced work environment.
