SMT Machine Operator (Electronics Manufacturing) Location: Richardson Pay: $19.00 per hour Experience Required: 3u20135 Years Schedule: 1st Shift (Full-Time) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced SMT Machine Operator to support our electronics manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT equipment while ensuring products meet high-quality standards, including IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements. Key Responsibilities + Set up and operate SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines + Maintain and align solder paste stencils; apply solder paste for consistent screen prints + Load and replenish components in pick-and-place machines; verify positioning, polarity, and values + Inspect finished products to IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 Class 3 standards + Perform X-Ray inspection using AXI or Glenbrook equipment + Conduct hand soldering and touch-up work under a microscope + Perform rework using Air-Vac machines + Monitor and document production processes accurately + Identify and troubleshoot defects, equipment issues, or process deviations + Follow all engineering process documentation and blueprints + Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and maintain equipment + Monitor inventory levels of solder paste and floor stock materials + Support NPI (New Product Introduction) builds with engineers and technicians + Train and assist new employees as needed Qualifications + 3u20135 years of SMT machine operation experience + Strong knowledge of PCB assembly and surface mount technology + Experience with IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 standards (Class 3 preferred) + Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and process documentation + Experience with microscope soldering and inspection + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills + Experience with SMT programming is a plus + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Education Requirement + High School Diploma or GED required + Must provide proof of education (diploma or transcript) at time of hire Why Join Us? + Stable, full-time opportunity + Hands-on work with advanced electronics manufacturing + Opportunity to grow within a high-tech environment If you meet the qualifications and are ready to join a fast-paced manufacturing team, apply today Pay Details: $19.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
