This is a contract-to-hire position (3 months on contract basis with potential to convert to fulltime employment) Hybrid work schedule: 2-3 days a week in office in Irving, TX 75038 CPA is mandatory Contract-to-hire Director of Finance Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and mentor an accounting team of five, conducting regular evaluations to ensure skill development and alignment with organizational goals. u2022 Manage daily financial operations, including reconciliations, reporting, budget preparation, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable. u2022 Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, particularly those specific to charter school and non-profit accounting. u2022 Implement and optimize financial systems to improve operational efficiency; familiarity with Workday Financials is highly advantageous. u2022 Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, leveraging advanced Excel skills and ideally tools such as Adaptive Insights and Concur. u2022 Collaborate with senior leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies that support organizational growth. u2022 Assess team performance and recommend structural improvements to build a high-performing finance department. u2022 Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting to support the organizationu2019s mission and strategic goals.
