The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotelu2019s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. Responsibilities: u2022 Direct and supervise the administration and ensure timely completion of the Sales Department activities including, RFPs, Qualifiers, Marketing Plans, Compelling Business Cases, Outside Sales Calls, Cold Calls, etc. u2022 Develop a full working knowledge of the Operations of the hotel, Guest Services and Reservations. u2022 Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOPu2019s, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies. u2022 Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies. to meet or exceed set goals. u2022 Operate the Sales Department within established sales expense budget. u2022 Participate in required M.O.D Program. u2022 Initiate and follow up on leads. u2022 Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program. u2022 Monitor production of all accounts and evaluate trends within market. u2022 Support the preparation of required reports in a timely manner. u2022 Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property. u2022 Develop strategies to increase share shift from competitors when the hotel revenue penetration goals are not being met. u2022 Use your propertyu2019s computerized sales management system to manage the hotelu2019s business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts. u2022 Direct preparation of the monthly Rooms Revenue reforecast for the current and upcoming months and assist in ensuring accuracy. Basic Qualifications u2022 Hotel Sales Experience u2022 Supervisory experience u2022 Must have a valid driveru2019s license in the applicable state. u2022 Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. u2022 Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by associates and guests. u2022 Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. u2022 Comply with CHM regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. u2022 Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions. u2022 Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. u2022 Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives. u2022 Proven success in hotel sales.
