Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations for multiple store locations in Appleton, Wisconsin. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with both internal policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Process bi-weekly payroll records with precision and ensure accuracy for assigned locations. u2022 Review and validate weekly timecards, including adjustments for paid and unpaid time, such as leaves of absence. u2022 Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, providing timely updates to employees and management. u2022 Enter and maintain accurate data for new hires and terminations in the Human Resources Information System. u2022 Prepare and provide wage verification documentation for external requests. u2022 Safeguard sensitive payroll information, handling all data with confidentiality and discretion. u2022 Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies. u2022 Utilize payroll software systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, along with experience using payroll systems. u2022 Familiarity with UKG Pro (Ultipro) or similar workforce management software is a plus. u2022 Experience in multi-location or large retail environments is preferred. u2022 Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. u2022 Excellent communication and organizational skills. u2022 Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and garnishments is highly desirable. u2022 Ability to handle payroll for over 500 employees effectively.
