GCG’s Custom Engineered Solutions division is seeking a Quoting Manager to lead a team responsible for developing accurate, timely, and commercially sound quotes for cable assembly and engineered product solutions. This role sits at the center of the quote-to-order process—balancing team leadership, technical review, and cross-functional coordination to support both new and existing business.In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day quoting activity while remaining close to the work—reviewing complex RFQs, supporting team development, and ensuring alignment with engineering, operations, and customer requirements. This is a strong fit for a leader who brings both people management experience and hands-on quoting expertise in a manufacturing or engineered solutions environment.This position is based in Leominster, MA and follows a hybrid work arrangement with a regular in-office presence.What you'll doLead and develop a team of quoting specialists responsible for supporting new and existing business opportunitiesManage the end-to-end quoting process, ensuring speed, accuracy, and profitabilityReview and validate complex quotes, including pricing, labor assumptions, and bill of materials (BOM) structuresPartner with Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service to assess feasibility, clarify requirements, and align on production capabilitiesSupport Customer Service and Sales in evaluating incoming RFQs and determining fit within operational capabilitiesCollaborate with other GCG locations to align quoting practices and share best practices across the networkMaintain a focus on margin integrity by ensuring quotes reflect accurate cost structures and business objectivesSupport process improvements, including continuous improvement initiatives and quoting workflow optimizationProvide customer-facing support as needed, including participation in meetings to review project scope and requirementsContribute to special projects and broader business initiatives as neededWhat you'll bringBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; relevant quoting management experience considered in lieu of degree3-5+ years of experience in estimating, quoting, or cost analysis within a manufacturing or engineered products environment; experience in wire, cable, or related industrial markets strongly preferredPrior experience leading or supervising a team, with a focus on coaching, development, and performance managementStrong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirementsWorking knowledge of cable assembly processes and materials preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredExperience working with ERP systems and managing item and BOM setupDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teamsFamiliarity with continuous improvement methodologies and process standardization is a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary between $100,000 and $125,000Comprehensive Health Coverage:Multiple medical plan options (CDHP and PPO) to get you the coverage you needRobust Financial Security:Company-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, plus options for supplemental critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity plansGenerous Time Off:PTO plan with paid holidays, paid parental leave, and paid compassionate care leave to support personal well-being and family needsWellness & Support Programs:Employee Assistance Program (EAP), wellness incentives, and telehealth accessExtras That Matter:Dental and vision plans, FSAs/HSAs with company contributions, pet insurance, legal services, and ID theft protection for peace of mindAn employee-centric company that values and truly appreciates our most important asset: You!Our Use of AI in RecruitingAt GCG, we use AI technology to assist with our interviews by automating note-taking, allowing our hiring teams to focus fully on the conversation.
