Job Title: Trailer Technician Job Description The Trailer Technician assists with the construction, repair, and refurbishment of mobile office trailers, focusing on structural repairs, basic finish work, and installation of fixtures and components. This role combines hands-on construction tasks with light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Responsibilities + Assist in the construction and repair of mobile office trailers, ensuring work meets quality and safety standards. + Perform structural and cosmetic repairs on trailers, including basic patching, painting, and drywall work. + Install and remove furniture, fixtures, and other interior components within mobile office trailers. + Support light electrical tasks such as installing basic electrical components under guidance and in accordance with safety practices. + Assist with light plumbing work as needed during trailer construction and repair projects. + Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools safely and effectively to complete daily tasks. + Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure to ensure accurate cuts and installations. + Work independently to complete assigned projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. + Communicate professionally with customers, sales staff, contractors, shop personnel, and team members at various branch locations. + Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment provided on site. + Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools at the end of each shift. + Construction experience, including light plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, and repair work. + Proficiency using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and related equipment. + Proficiency using power tools safely and effectively in a construction or repair setting. + Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic measurements and layout. + Basic painting and patching skills for interior and exterior trailer surfaces. + EPA universal certification + HVAC system repairs Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
