Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Hauppauge, New York. In this role, you will oversee vendor payments, purchase order verification, and invoice processing for multiple construction projects. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic construction company. Responsibilities: u2022 Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies. u2022 Perform three-way matching to verify purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. u2022 Manage vendor payments, including coding invoices and conducting check runs. u2022 Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed. u2022 Maintain organized records of all payable activities for multiple projects. u2022 Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and ensure timely processing. u2022 Collaborate with project managers to confirm payment details and purchase order approvals. u2022 Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. u2022 Assist in improving accounts payable procedures to enhance efficiency. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable within a construction or contractor environment. u2022 Proficiency in invoice processing, coding invoices, and performing check runs. u2022 Strong knowledge of three-way matching and purchase order verification. u2022 Familiarity with managing payables for multiple projects simultaneously. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
