Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounts payable processes and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and review invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments. u2022 Verify and code invoices in alignment with company policies and procedures. u2022 Handle electronic payments, including Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, to maintain efficient payment workflows. u2022 Prepare and execute check runs while ensuring compliance with financial guidelines. u2022 Reconcile account discrepancies by collaborating with vendors and internal departments. u2022 Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions using Great Plains (GPAC) software. u2022 Monitor and manage vendor accounts to prevent overdue payments and maintain good relationships. u2022 Assist in month-end closing activities by providing necessary financial data. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounts payable function. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role. u2022 Proficiency in handling invoice coding and payment processing. u2022 Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs. u2022 Hands-on experience with Great Plains (GPAC) software is highly preferred. u2022 Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. u2022 Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with vendors and team members. u2022 Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
