Summary This position is within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) located at the Augusta VA Medical Center. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Designee for the Nurse, Geriatrics Service. The LPN performs assigned duties in a manner that promotes quality health care service, positive customer service, and the maintenance of an environment committed to serving the Veterans. Responsibilities Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties may include but not limited to: Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice. Participates in the patient care needs, outlined in the patient care plan, according to hospital policy and procedures. All patient care, by the LPN, is planned and coordinated with the health care team. All patient care is thoroughly documented in the patient record as an integral part of the patient care planning process during the episode of care. Technically proficient in initiating, performing, and completing assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations. Appropriately carries out assigned patient care based on the patents' conditions; uses judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments; and accurately recognizes, reports and records relevant patient information. Work Schedule: 7:30am - 8:00pm, Monday-Friday (Rotating Weekends and Holidays) Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized.
