Job Description

Job Title: Systems Engineer Job Description The Systems Engineer will contribute to the development and modification of complex systems and subsystems, with a focus on functional and empirical analysis to support the design, development, integration, and implementation of hardware, systems, and subsystems for advanced defense products. This role involves working with multidisciplinary teams to analyze requirements, perform data analysis, and support system integration and test activities across multiple mission-critical programs. Responsibilities + Perform functional and empirical analysis to support the design, development, and implementation of hardware, systems, and subsystems. + Analyze system and subsystem requirements using tools such as DOORS or similar requirements management applications. + Support systems integration activities, ensuring that hardware, software, and firmware components work together as intended. + Plan, execute, and document systems integration and test activities, including verification and validation of system requirements. + Use MATLAB to perform data analysis, modeling, and simulation to evaluate system performance and support design decisions. + Contribute to the development, modification, and optimization of systems and subsystems for mission assurance, command and control, displays, and weapons control systems. + Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot issues identified during integration and testing and drive resolution. + Document analysis results, test procedures, test results, and technical findings in a clear and structured manner. + Support real-time operating system and software development efforts as they relate to overall system behavior and performance. + Participate in reviews and technical discussions to ensure that systems and subsystems meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements. + Provide input to improve processes, tools, and methodologies related to requirements analysis, data analytics, systems integration, and test. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics. + Proficiency in MATLAB for data analysis, modeling, and simulation. + Hands-on experience with requirements analysis using DOORS or similar tools. + Experience with systems integration and test activities. + Experience in systems engineering, including working with complex hardware and software systems. + For Level 2 roles: 2u20134 years of experience with requirements analysis, data analytics, integration and test, systems integration, and MATLAB. + For Level 3 roles: 5u20137 years of experience with requirements analysis, data analytics, integration and test, systems integration, and MATLAB. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with real-time operating systems. + Exposure to or involvement in software development for embedded or real-time systems. + Knowledge of mission assurance, command and control, displays, or weapons control systems. + Ability to work effectively in a structured defense program environment supporting long-standing programs. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. + Ability to clearly document technical work and communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams. Work Environment Work takes place primarily at an engineering facility supporting a major naval defense program through a large prime contractor. The role is largely desk-based, with regular use of engineering software tools such as MATLAB and requirements management systems, and includes periodic visits to laboratory environments for integration and testing activities. The position supports multiple programs, including SSDS and BMD, and contributes to product lines such as mission assurance, command and control, displays, and weapons control systems. The work environment offers long-term contract opportunities, flexible paid time off, and a 9/80 schedule that provides every other Friday off. The program has a long history of operational use across multiple allied navies, providing a stable and mission-focused setting where engineers work with advanced technologies in a professional, collaborative atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Moorestown, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $68.00/hr.
