Position Summary LineCooks are responsible for high-quality preparation, cooking, and production ofdishes during service to menu and recipe specifications. Overview of Responsibilities u25cf Prepare and produce a variety of high-qualitydishes as per guest orders, while following approved recipes &specifications in an accurate and timely manner u25cf Perform work on different kitchen linestations as per business demands u25cf Cook menu items in alignment with the kitchenteam to deliver dishes simultaneously at appropriate time u25cf Weigh and measure ingredients; properly userecipes in order to produce dishes up to standard u25cf Maintain a thorough working knowledge ofrecipes, ingredients, allergens, and food presentation u25cf Ensure that food quality, quantity, freshness,and presentation meet City Winery standards u25cf Maintain department cleanliness andorganization, adhere to safe work and equipment practices, and follow all foodsafety, health and sanitation standards u25cf Properly store and/or discard leftover food u25cf Set up, stock stations, and replenish kitcheninventory and supplies as needed u25cf Ensure all products and prepared items arelabeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated following FIFO u25cf Exhibit mindfulness of volume due to openkitchen setting u25cf Follow all company policies, procedures, andguidelines including being ready to work at scheduled shift time, in uniform,with neat and presentable appearance u25cf Perform all other reasonably assigned duties Minimum Qualifications u25cf Minimum 2 yearsu2019experience as a Line Cook in full-service, high-volume, fast paced kitchen orfood service environment u25cf Strong work ethic, team player, andcustomer-focused approach u25cf Must have excellent knife skills andproficiency in all aspects of cooking. u25cf Demonstrated experience with various cookingmethods, ingredients, equipment and procedures u25cf Working knowledge and understanding of health,safety, and sanitation standards u25cf Ability to follow and execute recipes todesignated specifications u25cf Ability to take direction u25cf Ability to work in a clean, organized, andefficient manner in a high-pressure environment. u25cf Ability to work resourcefully, and proactivelyresolve issues u25cf Excellent attention to detail, timemanagement, and organizational skills u25cf Effective communication and interpersonalskills with a proven ability to build positive relationships with people in thescope of employment u25cf Polished presentation u25cf Ability to work both independently and in ateam environment u25cf Ability to work a flexible schedule includingdays, nights, weekends, and holidays u25cf Ability to perform physical requirements ofthe role including standing/walking for entirety of shift, bending, pulling,pushing, using stairs, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
