Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. This long-term contract position offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading real estate management firm. The role involves managing the full accounts payable cycle across multiple regions while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing and reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, coding, and approvals. u2022 Oversee payment runs through various methods, including ACH and check payments. u2022 Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. u2022 Collaborate with vendors to address inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong relationships. u2022 Process high volumes of invoices with precision and attention to detail. u2022 Assist with the preparation of ad hoc financial reports and special projects as needed. u2022 Utilize software systems such as Yardi, MRI, and AvidXchange to streamline processes and ensure data accuracy. u2022 Conduct regular reviews of accounts payable procedures to identify and recommend improvements. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role, ideally within the real estate industry. u2022 Proficiency with accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, and AvidXchange. u2022 Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, and payment systems, including ACH and check runs. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle high volumes of transactions accurately. u2022 Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve vendor discrepancies effectively. u2022 Familiarity with accounting principles and compliance standards. u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team interactions. u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
