Overview PMX AI Engineering, the artificial intelligence and product engineering division within Publicis Media, is searching for a Vice President, AI Engineering. This position requires a seasoned engineering leader with deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks, full-stack development, and product delivery at scale. The role includes both hands-on technical leadership of AI-powered product development and strategic oversight of engineering processes, infrastructure, and team growth. Responsibilities u2022 Driving the engineering vision and execution for the AI-powered product suite, partnering with the Head of Engineering to drive differentiated, AI-native solutions that empower internal teams and deliver measurable client value. u2022 Architect, build, and maintain best-in-class AI/ML infrastructure including model training pipelines, inference services, RAG systems, and LLM integrations. Be responsible for the end-to-end code development lifecycle including CI/CD systems to deploy stable, production-grade AI software. u2022 Deliver hands-on engineering contributions across the AI product suite in a fast-paced environmentu2014including system design, prototyping, code reviews, and coordinating key partners to keep products on track. u2022 Support multi-functional teams and Publicis internal organizations in developing first-to-market AI programs and end-to-end product solutions that leverage machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent automation. u2022 Author Groupe-wide points of view on the AI landscape, emerging technologies, and strategic opportunitiesu2014 translating technical capabilities into business impact for clients. u2022 Build and nurture strong relationships with AI/ML platform vendors, cloud providers, and the broader technology community to drive innovation, secure early access to emerging tools, and maintain competitive advantage. u2022 Manage multiple concurrent AI initiatives while serving as both technical lead and collaborative partner across engineering, data science, product, and client-facing teams. u2022 Establish and enforce engineering standard processes for AI development including responsible AI guidelines, model evaluation frameworks, version control for models and data, and comprehensive user documentation. Qualifications u2022 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years focused on AI/ML systems, preferably in a high-growth startup or agency environment building end-to-end applications. u2022 A proven track record of successful 0-to-1 AI product launches, from conceptualization through production deployment and iteration at scale. u2022 Proficiency in modern AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain) with hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-based applications, fine-tuning models, and implementing RAG architectures. u2022 End-to-end full-stack development experience (React/Next.js, Node.js, Python) with a strong emphasis on deploying production software and building scalable APIs and microservices. u2022 Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud-based DevOps, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), automation tools, and CI/CD systems for ML model deployment. u2022 Strong database expertise with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, vector databases such as Pinecone or Weaviate) supporting applications that incorporate artificial intelligence. u2022 Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree preferred; technologist by experience or education with a demonstrable ability to simplify and communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical partners. u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence, presence, and clarity in presentations to senior leadership and clients. u2022 Experience working with emergent AI technologies, agent frameworks, and a keen sense of evolving digital and data-driven marketing technology. u2022 Comfort working remotely with a globally distributed team and strong sense of urgency with sensitivity to time pressures and multiple deadlines. u2022 Natural leadership ability with the skills to recruit, mentor, and retain top AI engineering talent while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Compensation Range: $168,150.00 - $269,217.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
