Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report . # Project Overview: Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtelu2019s scope of service in Sentinelu2019s current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program. A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. For more information on the Sentinel program: j ects/sentinel Note: This position may include other project work, aside from the Sentinel project, within the Knoxville Execution Center. # Job Summary: In this role, you will plan and conduct work, requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaption of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Under the supervision of a Control Systems discipline Engineering supervisor, you will lead a small team of Control Systems discipline personnel as they perform engineeering deliverables. You will review the team's work products and provide coaching. Your leadership will drive high quality Control Systems deliverables and project performance. Coordination and collaboration with other project engineering disciplines and project functions will be required. Occasional business travel may be required. #LI-EH1 # Major Responsibilities: + Evaluates, selects, and applies standard Control Systems engineeringmethods, techniques, procedures and criteria for a medium size project or assignment + Prepares and reviews Control Systems design deliverables (e.g., P&IDs, control narratives, control logics, specifications, material requisitions, data sheets, physical design drawings, etc.) + Selects components and equipment based on analysis ofspecifications and reliabilityu200b + Prepares and reviews designs for misc. systems, which may include HVAC, lighting, power and other utilities and gas monitoring + Leads a small Control Systems engineering team in the preparation of project designs, layouts, details, drawings and specificationsu200b + Provides guidance and coaching to assigned Control Systems engineeringteam for specific tasks or projectsu200b + Conducts quality checks on assigned Control Systems engineering team deliverables + Assists in schedule and budget preparation for assigned Control Systems engineering work scope + Coordinates Control Systems engineering efforts in assigned areas withother project engineering disciplines, other project functions, the client, suppliers and contractors # Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or other related Engineering field from an accredited institution with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience, in lieu of degree # Required Knowledge and Skills: Required: + U.
