Pack Rat Hauling is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team at our Leesburg office. This role is essential to the daily coordination of our field operations, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, excels in logistics and communication, and has previous dispatch experience—particularly in waste management, logistics, or service-based industries.Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule and dispatch drivers, work crews, vehicles, and equipment to appropriate locations based on schedules, customer requests, or real-time needs.Use phones, dispatch software, and GPS tools to communicate with drivers and field personnel.Monitor job progress and make real-time adjustments to routes or assignments as needed.Collaborate with supervisors and field staff to resolve issues and keep schedules on track.Maintain clear and organized records including:Daily schedules and work ordersCompleted work logs and service documentationCustomer requests and complaintsEquipment and inventory trackingCoordinate last-minute service requests or changes with efficiency and professionalism.Relay accurate information between teams in a fast-paced environment.Handle clerical tasks related to dispatching including documentation, recordkeeping, and system updates.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentProven experience in a dispatching role is requiredStrong knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns in Northern VirginiaExcellent communication skills—both written and verbalComfortable with technology and dispatching tools/softwareStrong problem-solving and multitasking abilitiesAbility to remain calm and organized under pressureExperience with scheduling, logistics, or route planning is preferredCompetitive salary based on experience.
