Job Description We are seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to support NAVFAC construction projects at NAS Pensacola and Corry Station. This individual will serve as the primary on site safety authority, responsible for implementing and administering the safety program in full compliance with EM 385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926 requirements. This is a field heavy, safety first role supporting construction projects valued at approximately $3u20138M. Day to Day Responsibilities u2022u2003Serve as the designated SSHO, meeting the requirements of EM 385 1 1 Section 1 and 01.A.17 u2022u2003Ensure compliance with 29 CFR 1926.16 and all NAVFAC / federal safety requirements u2022u2003Be present on site at all times to implement and administer the government accepted Accident Prevention Plan (APP) u2022u2003Spend ~90% of time in the field, actively supporting construction activities u2022u2003Conduct daily safety inspections and monitor compliance with safety plans, AHAs, and building codes u2022u2003Prepare, review, and maintain: ou2003Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) ou2003SDS / MSDS documentation ou2003Daily safety paperwork and reports u2022u2003Lead safety orientations and oversee active safety training compliance for all site personnel u2022u2003Investigate reported safety or quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions u2022u2003Maintain accurate and organized safety documentation for NAVFAC and project recordkeeping u2022u2003Coordinate closely with project leadership, QC, and field supervision We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
