Job Title: Program Manager Job Description We are seeking a skilled Program Manager with a strong experience in traditional project management and experience in managing projects involving physical products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both engineering and plant implementation. This role requires leading projects through the full product life cycle and effectively communicating across various teams. Responsibilities + Provide proactive risk management and mitigation throughout the project life cycle and identify, monitor, and manage the project's critical path. + Lead the team through the quality gate release process. + Establish and maintain a cohesive and effective project team. + Lead assigned team members in cross-functional teams to achieve project commitments. + Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members, individual contributors, department managers, and management to keep projects aligned within the organization. + Provide clear and up-to-date project status to management and team constituency. + Exercise appropriate influence throughout the organization to drive accountability and effective decision-making. + Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress. + Promote a healthy and collaborative environment within the team and with stakeholders. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s Degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience. + 5+ yearsu2019 experience in project management for product development projects. + Experience with electronics, embedded software, and/or mechanical systems. + Experience in developing multi-discipline project schedules using MS Project or equivalent. + Cross-functional leadership experience in engineering, marketing, purchasing, manufacturing, and customer support. + Demonstrated effectiveness in aligning product, market, customer, and business needs in planning and running projects. + Experience using waterfall and Agile methodologies. + Functional knowledge and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems such as SAP. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience managing a project through the full product life cycle. + experience in working with a physical product and manufacturing facilities. + Ability to spend time both in the engineering and plant implementation environments. + Proficiency in driving processes and maintaining effective communication. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owatonna, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
