Description We are looking for an entry-level Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Secaucus, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounts payable within the freight forwarding industry. The role requires someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and code invoices accurately and in a timely manner. u2022 Prepare and execute vendor payments, including check runs. u2022 Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial records. u2022 Monitor and manage accounts payable inquiries and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Maintain an organized system for tracking invoices and payments. u2022 Assist with stocking office supplies and ensuring communal areas are well-maintained. u2022 Collaborate with team members to complete additional tasks as assigned. u2022 Adapt to various responsibilities and wear multiple hats as needed. u2022 Utilize Excel and other tools for data entry and account analysis. Requirements u2022 Familiarity with accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and processing. u2022 Basic knowledge of financial reconciliations. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or a willingness to learn. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities effectively. u2022 Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. u2022 Prior experience in a freight forwarding or logistics environment is a plus but not required. u2022 A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
