Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to assist in the design, assembly, and testing of autonomous vehicles and auxiliary equipment within our portfolio of autonomous maritime products for defense, marine research, and commercial applications. Responsibilities + Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. + Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. + Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of electrical system requirements into optimized methods for assembly, testing, and maintenance. + Perform quality inspections using tools such as calipers and micrometers. + Conduct visual inspections and manage non-conforming items through quality control processes. + Develop and maintain accurate documentation related to electrical engineering tasks. + Support the development of automated test fixtures. + Participate in multi-disciplinary product development teams to architect platform electrical and power systems. + Design, simulate, prototype, test, produce, and maintain production-mature circuit card assemblies. + Perform additional electrical engineering duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Electrical design + Design using OrCad, KiCad or similar + Circuit design + Schematic capture + Experience with R&D and quality inspection + Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers + Ability to conduct visual inspections and manage quality control + Blueprint reading Additional Skills & Qualifications + 3-5+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field. + Capability to obtain and maintain a government clearance. + Experience in multi-disciplinary product development teams. + Extensive experience architecting platform electrical and power systems. + Experience with hardware and software systems developed for DoD, academic, or commercial use. + Demonstrated attention to detail and documentation skills. Work Environment This role is part of the Unmanned Systems group, which focuses on creating advanced unmanned maritime solutions for various applications, serving customers in over 30 countries. The work involves design, autonomy, manufacturing, testing, operations, and sustainment of unmanned systems, including unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) and unmanned surface vessels. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Plymouth, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
