Description A privately held, multiu2011entity real estate organization with a strong operating footprint is seeking a Controller to step into a highu2011impact role supporting executive leadership and ownership. This position serves as a key financial partner, responsible for endu2011tou2011end accounting operations, financial reporting, and the integrity of internal controls across multiple business units. The Controller will operate with a high level of autonomy and visibility, balancing handsu2011on execution with process ownership. The role offers exposure to strategic decisionu2011making, cash flow planning, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fastu2011moving environment. Key Responsibilities + Own the monthly close cycle, including the preparation, review, and posting of journal entries + Perform and oversee monthly reconciliations for all cash and balance sheet accounts + Produce accurate and timely financial statements across multiple entities and operating segments + Oversee accounts payable activity, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and processing accuracy + Partner with senior leadership to monitor receivables, support collections efforts, and maintain healthy liquidity + Develop rolling cash flow forecasts and liquidity models for executive review + Prepare and present monthly variance analysis comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets + Evaluate revenue trends and performance drivers across locations and lines of business + Identify opportunities to enhance accounting workflows, controls, and documentation to improve efficiency and reliability + Lead monthu2011end, quarteru2011end, and yearu2011end close activities to consistently meet reporting deadlines + Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, including financial statement modeling and updates + Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements + Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors by preparing schedules, documentation, and analytical support Requirements Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degree a plus + Proven success operating in deadlineu2011driven environments with competing priorities + Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights + Demonstrated ownership mentality with the confidence to operate independently + Clear communicator capable of collaborating across leadership, operations, and external partners + Experience working within ERP systems and financial reporting platforms + Background in establishing, refining, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures Why This Role + This is an opportunity for a Controller who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and serving as a trusted financial resource to leadership.
