Description We are looking for an Entry Level Accountant to join a dynamic entertainment-focused shared services team in New York, New York. This position offers a long-term contract opportunity and will play a crucial role in supporting daily accounting operations while assisting with various tasks to streamline processes and maintain efficiency. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and issue invoices while managing bill-back procedures to ensure accurate financial tracking. u2022 Review and match costs from travel and expense systems to maintain proper documentation. u2022 Follow up on outstanding invoices, conduct light collections activities, and communicate with vendors as needed. u2022 Assist with accounts payable tasks, including gathering documentation and organizing records. u2022 Provide support for daily operational queues and handle ad hoc accounting tasks as they arise. u2022 Participate in cleanup activities to ensure accurate and organized financial documentation. u2022 Collaborate with the team to facilitate smooth transitions during system updates or process changes. Requirements u2022 Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures. u2022 Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, including invoice management. u2022 Ability to perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records. u2022 Competence in account reconciliation to maintain balanced ledgers. u2022 Knowledge of accounting entries and their application in daily operations. u2022 Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. u2022 Effective communication skills for vendor and team interactions.
