Job Title: Assembly Operator Job Description The Assembly Operator assembles and inspects electrical components for Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and related products, following detailed engineering specifications and standard operating procedures to ensure high-quality, reliable equipment. Responsibilities + Assemble Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and other electrical components according to engineering specifications and work instructions. + Assemble cables, harnesses, electronic, and electro-mechanical test equipment in line with defined technical requirements. + Inspect assembled electrical components and PDUs to verify quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. + Replace and remove electrical components on PDUs as needed, including performing basic repairs on units. + Use basic hand tools and assembly tools safely and effectively during daily production tasks. + Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines throughout all assembly activities. + Complete required departmental paperwork accurately and on time, including documentation related to assembly and inspection. + Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe production. + Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow. + Pay close attention to detail to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications during assembly and inspection. Essential Skills + At least 1 year of experience performing assembly work, with an emphasis on mechanical assembly. + Proficiency using basic hand tools in a production or assembly environment. + Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift. + Strong attention to detail when assembling and inspecting electrical components. + Good communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate with team members. + Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work safely. + Ability to read and write to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork. + Experience working in an assembly, assembly line, or production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience assembling electrical or electro-mechanical components is beneficial. + Familiarity with assembling cables, harnesses, and test equipment is an advantage. + Demonstrated reliability and consistency in meeting production and quality expectations. + Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and product specifications. Work Environment This role is based in a production environment focused on assembling and inspecting electrical components for Power Distribution Units. The standard shift is 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position requires standing for up to 8 hours and working with basic hand tools and assembly equipment. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, and maintaining an organized workspace to support efficient, high-quality production. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tucson, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
