Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient management of receivables while maintaining strong relationships with commercial clients. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in collections and cash applications. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage all aspects of accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment tracking, and account reconciliation. u2022 Conduct commercial collections to ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances. u2022 Process cash applications accurately and efficiently to update client accounts. u2022 Monitor and follow up on overdue payments, maintaining consistent communication with clients. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting. u2022 Prepare regular reports summarizing receivable activities and aging balances. u2022 Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to collections. u2022 Assist in streamlining accounts receivable processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts receivable, including commercial collections. u2022 Strong knowledge of cash applications and billing functions. u2022 Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing client relationships. u2022 Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools. u2022 Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data with attention to detail. u2022 Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. u2022 Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices. u2022 Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.
