Position Summary: The Analyst HAZMAT is responsible for dangerous goods (DG)/hazardous materials (HAZMAT), process implementation, and shipping of DG/HAZMAT within the Technical Operations, Ground Operations and Airport departments. The Analyst works closely with Operational leadership and applicable crewmembers to ensure that handling, shipping, storage, and waste management are carried out in accordance with applicable JetBlue policies and procedures, International Air Transport Association (IATA) guidelines, CFR 49 and applicable local airport regulations. Essential Responsibilities Implementthe accepted processes for the shipping and storage of DG/HAZMATparts andmaterialswithin the Technical Operationsdepartment Monitors the performance of Tech Opsstationsthat engage in the shipping and storage ofDG/HAZMATmaterialsand provides guidance to shippers throughout the system Make corrections to the Part Master in TRAX where hazardous materials are concerned Ensurethe Safety Data Sheets for all hazardousmaterialsare up to date in both TRAX and the 3E online website Look up hazmat status of new inventory and updateConfiguration Control Ensure adherence to all safety and security regulations Monitors Dangerous Goods and Chemical Spill Reports Updates Monthly Report to the Senior Vice President Other duties as assigned Minimum Experience and Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma One (1)yearofWarehouse,Shipping, or otherAnalyst experience Successfully pass thebi-annual Hazmat Awareness Trainingand Hazmat Shipping Coursesby JetBlue University Ability tohelp gather information forreportsto bepresentedto JetBlue leadership and various regulatory authorities.
