The Legal Assistant will provide administrative, operational, and case-support services for the companys legal and immigration services practice. This role supports attorneys, supervisors, and paralegals by assisting with case coordination, document preparation, data tracking, training support, and compliance-related tasks. The position is non-supervisory in nature and focuses on ensuring efficient workflow, accurate case management, and high-quality client service in a fast-paced professional services environment.Job Duties and Responsibilities1. Legal Operations and Administrative Support- Provide day-to-day administrative support to attorneys, and paralegals.- Assist with organizing workflows, tracking assignments, and maintaining case files in internal case management systems.- Serve as a point of contact for internal staff regarding procedural questions and case status updates.- Support operational tasks related to scheduling, internal communications, and documentation flow.2. Case Coordination and File Management- Assist with tracking attorney and paralegal caseloads to ensure timely movement of cases.- Monitor deadlines, filing timelines, and case milestones to help prevent delays.- Help coordinate reassignment of files under the direction of supervisors or attorneys.- Assist with high-priority or time-sensitive cases by preparing documentation and ensuring completeness.3. Data Tracking and Reporting Support- Maintain internal records related to case volume, filing activity, and processing timelines.- Assist in compiling data for weekly and monthly internal reports.- Update spreadsheets, dashboards, or case management tools used for performance tracking.- Support leadership by ensuring data accuracy and consistency.4. Training and Documentation Support- Assist with preparing and updating training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal guides.- Support onboarding processes for new legal staff by organizing materials and scheduling training sessions.- Help distribute updates related to procedural changes or system enhancements.- Maintain internal knowledge repositories and reference materials.5. Team and Client Support- Provide daily support to legal staff regarding internal systems, document requirements, and workflow processes.- Assist with client communications under attorney or supervisor guidance, including document requests and follow-ups.- Help maintain professional and timely communication standards. Support team coordination and internal collaboration efforts.6. Compliance and Quality Support- Assist with internal file reviews and quality checks to ensure documentation completeness and accuracy.- Support compliance efforts by organizing records and maintaining audit-ready files.- Track updates in immigration policies and regulatory guidance as directed and circulate relevant information internally.Other major(s) and/or fields(s) of study required- Master of Laws (LL.M.) from a U.S. accredited law school AND a foreign law degreeJob Requirements Occupation- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of overall legal experience of Legal employment, Self-employment in a legal capacity, and Accredited experiential learning.
