Amazon is seeking a Design Director to focus on one of Amazon’s newest offerings: Haul. You will be responsible for creating and sustaining design direction for Haul and guiding a team of designers to develop impactful work that delights our customers across all channels. This role requires exceptional creative leadership and strategic thinking to solve complex marketing asks through a creative lens.Key job responsibilitiesAs a Design Director you will mentor designers and collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will exhibit an exceptional design eye, collaborative mindset, high judgement, bias for action, and ability to deliver results.Key job responsibilities* Oversee design direction for Haul programs across email, site, push, paid, social and homepage* Mentor and develop designers through design reviews and cultivate a culture of continuous learning, improvement and self-sufficiency* Identify opportunities to incorporate emerging marketing trends and GenAI innovations into the creative strategy and execution* Lead ideation sessions and design reviews* Proactively solve problems on behalf of the team, seeking clarification when faced with ambiguity and escalating as necessary* Communicate with key stakeholders internally and externally in a spirit of collaboration, building strong relationships, and articulating complex issues/problems effectively.About the teamThe Amazon North America Creative team is responsible for crafting bold, efficient, and breakthrough marketing content to reach and resonate with today’s audience.
