Job Title:Dispatch AgentJob Location:Laredo, TXWe have an exciting opportunity for a Dispatch Agent to support and coordinate the daily operational activities of customer accounts. This position will be based at the Laredo, TX location.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and monitor daily dispatch activities for inbound and outbound shipmentsCommunicate shipment status updates to internal teams, carriers, and customersSchedule, assign, and track drivers and equipment to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveriesReview customer requests and service requirements and allocate resources accordinglyPrepare and update dispatch records in computerized systems including logs, delivery tickets, orders, and tracking toolsEnsure all shipments comply with established procedures, regulations, and safety standardsMaintain visibility on freight movements and proactively address delays, exceptions, and service issuesCollaborate with warehouse teams to ensure shipments are prepared and staged for dispatchSupport inventory accuracy by ensuring correct documentation and timely system updatesUtilize radio, phone, and digital communication systems to relay instructions to driversMay assist with customer service inquiries related to shipment status and troubleshootingPerform other duties as assignedSkills / Requirements:Strong communication and customer service skillsDispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation operations experience (minimum 2 years preferred)Familiarity with freight forwarding, warehouse operations, or trucking industry preferredProficient in computer systems, data entry, and shipment tracking toolsStrong attention to detail and follow-up skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environmentAble to sit, stand, and use communication equipment for extended periodsPay Range:$18.00/hr. in accordance with the CBABenefits (All Non-Union Employees)Compensation:Competitive base salary plus role dependent performance-based incentives.401(k) Match:$1-for-$1 match up to 4% quarterly + 2% annual base contribution.Stock Purchase Plan:Ability to purchase Deutsche Post AG shares at a discounted rate.Medical:Comprehensive plans covering preventive care, inpatient/outpatient services, and prescriptions.Vision:Optional coverage for exams, frames, and contacts.Dental:Optional coverage for preventive, basic, and major services.Paid Time Off:7 major holidays, 8 floating holidays, and accrued vacation/sick days.Why Join DHL Global Forwarding?At DHL Global Forwarding, we invest in our employees’ growth, providing training, guidance, and career advancement opportunities.
