Job Title

This position will support Red Wing, Cannon Falls, Lake City, Owatonna and Waseca. Home site can be either Owatonna or Red Wing.The supervisor is responsible for work direction, education, orientation, and operational problem solving within the unit on a day-to-day basis for Certified Ophthalmic Medical Personnel; LPNs; Ophthalmic Photographers; Contact Lens Technicians and Assistants; Refractive Surgery Technicians; Visual Field/EPPU Technicians and Eye Technicians working in the clinic and hospitals. The supervisor is also responsible for problem solving technical, scheduling, and equipment issues for Ophthalmology Consultants. Supervisor is responsible for identifying and initiating improvements in unit matters to facilitate daily operations. The Supervisor schedules work assignments, is responsible for timekeeping activities, completes annual performance appraisals, and oversees orientation, training, and integration of technical personnel to ensure effective and efficient technical assistance to the Ophthalmic Practice. The Supervisor initiates, coordinates, and participates in the interview and selection of prospective employees. The supervisor is also responsible for obtaining and maintaining ophthalmic instrument/equipment and related supplies.
