We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Anesthesia Tech I, temporary. In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for stocking all anesthetic supplies for ORs. Maintaining all anesthetic equipment. Insuring anesthetic equipment is available Responds to codes within the limitation of the job responsibilities.Job Responsibilities:Patient CareResponds to Codes in line with dutiesEquipmentCalibrates and runs Quality Control and Quality Assurance analysisCalibrates and trouble-shoots anesthesia machinesSets up Level I RIS, syringe pumps, capnographs, TEG and TEEsSets up intravenous, central venous, arterial, pulmonary artery catheters using sterile techniques, percutaneous introducer kits, double lumen kits, triple lumen kits, long arm CVP kits, chest tubes, ARNDT blockers, univent tubes, trans-tracheal intubations, fiberoptic scopes, LMAs, tube changers, jet ventilation and resuscitation bags.Clears debris and equipment from the surface and drawers of used anesthesia machines.Ensures the sterility and cleanliness of all machinesPerforms all standard procedural checks on equipmentAssists with trouble shooting technical problemsMakes minor repairs and adjustments to equipmentInforms Engineering and supervisor of needed repairsSuppliesChecks machine drawers to insure they are well stockedMakes available fluids, Lactated Ringers, Plasma Lite, Normal Saline, Hespan, Flextend, FFP, Whole Blood and AlbuminDisposes of supplies used in regular and contaminated casesGasesEnsures medical pipeline is operational, including N2O, O2 and Medical AirChecks the status of nitrous oxide, nitrogen and carbon dioxide cylinder banks to determine available supply pressureReplaces empty cylindersMinimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a High School Education RequiredOne year of work experience in a periop area or related field and/or familiarity with OR drug and equipment terminology requiredMust be able to Read, write, follow instructions Lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
